The 40 40 Club, New York, USA

The renovated 40/40 Club is a dazzling sports bar-nightclub hybrid that reflects the personal style of owner Jay-Z. Its two levels are connected by an upscale version of bleachers—subway tile, metallic-upholstered banquettes, and mirrored columns combine winningly.

Taking inspiration from the neighborhood’s classic architecture, glowing lights set off the original grand arched windows, a massive fiber-optic chandelier appoints the entry, and an illuminated bottle tower anchors the glowing resin bar. When it’s game time, four jumbo 165-inch flat-screens satisfy the biggest of sports fans.

Moon club by Jeffrey Beers International

Located at the Atlantis resort, the Moon Club is a striking high roller lounge whose focal point is a massive jellyfish tank that anchors the12-seat bar. The electric blue of the moon jellyfish is mimicked in a bold custom light fixture, fabricated from blunt acrylic rods and purple LED lights. The dramatic marriage of lighting and materiality in the club is exemplified in the club’s walls: high gloss Macassar ebony is inlaid with strips of LED lighting and polished brass.
